Advanced Planner is responsible to perform tasks as an Advanced Planner requiring specialized knowledge of ship maintenance and modernization planning and execution, and US Navy policies, processes, and regulations for ship repair and modernization. Ability to learn performing electronics engineering practices to build, repair, test, or evaluate weapon systems. Ability to review electronics/mechanical schematics/drawings. Manage and coordinate all Advanced Planning associated with SPY-6 Radar installation and modernization projects. Review the preliminary work package, Availability Work Package (AWP), and all other technical documents as needed to identify all weapon and combat system element integration requirements and works with sponsors to ensure certification tests meet technical and operational requirements.
