Assistant Athletic Director in Event Management

The Department of Athletics exists to provide educational and athletic opportunities to young men and women, to provide an environment for student-athletes to learn, advance and excel both academically and athletically, and to serve the interests of the University by complimenting and enhancing its diversity and quality of life. Primary purpose of the Athletic Event Management unit is to provide outstanding service to each of the more than 30 discreet business units associated with athletic varsity competition with a focus on student-athlete experience. Under the direction of the Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Event Management this position leads, manages and directs Athletic GameDay, a university program of considerable scope and complexity, requiring specialized knowledge of the program and the associated processes and procedures. Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. related to the area of assignment, including one year of supervisory program experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
