Associate Director of Special Events

PURPOSE: Work with the Director of Donor Engagement, Opera staff, board members, donors, and vendors to create meaningful event experiences that align with the Opera’s creative vision and fundraising goals. • Knowledge of practices and principles of fundraising. • Ability to manage and work within a budget. • Ability to work evenings and weekends as dictated by the event schedule • Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with artists, staff, the public including donors and event patrons, and volunteers in a professional, confidential and tactful manner. • In partnership with the Director of Donor Engagement, develop, recommend, communicate and enforce special event policies.
