Avow Foundation Fundraising Event Planning Internship

Job Summary:

The Fundraising Event Planning Intern will work under the supervision of the staff Fundraising Special Events Coordinator. She/He will be responsible for assisting in identification, planning, execution and review of special events hosted by Avow Foundation for purposes of cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors.

Job Duties include the following:

1. Facilities planning: Creation of site plans, seating charts, decoration, transportation, and other critical logistics.

2. Goal setting to ensure that objectives are identified and measured to determine return on investment and cost to raise a dollar.

3. Donor management
a. Identification of target audiences, list generation, invitation design and
distribution, registration management and follow up post event.

4. Vendor relations to include catering, gifts, auction components, photography, etc.

5. Event day logistics to include signage, speakers, travel arrangements, etc.

6. Post event evaluation to identify opportunities for improvement and methods to keep attendees engaged.
