Catering Event Coordinator

About the Role Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Catering Event Coordinator to manage the planning and execution of diverse catering events in Detroit, Michigan . This role is central to ensuring a smooth and successful experience for clients, from initial inquiry through event completion. You will liact as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, coordinating all logistical aspects to meet client expectations and uphold service excellence. Key Responsibilities Manage client communications, providing detailed information about services, menus, and event packages. Create event proposals, contracts, and detailed BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) for all catered functions. Coordinate with the culinary and service teams to ensure all event requirements are met, including menu, staffing, and timelines. Oversee event logistics on-site, ensuring smooth setup, service, and breakdown. Conduct pre-event meetings with clients and internal teams to confirm all details. Handle client inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in event planning , coordination, or a similar role within the hospitality or catering industry. Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with event management software. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. A professional demeanor and strong client-facing skills.
