Communication & Events Specialist

Carnival Cruise Line Miami, Florida

• Provide support for key projects, programs and initiatives such as Town Halls and other conferences both shoreside and shipboard; plan and execute external community relations, charity events, homeport initiatives and other events as assigned; Work with vendors to negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships • Support day to day communications vehicles such as Daily Brief and other communication channels • Responsible for individual event budget; Assist in preparing department budgets and provide periodic reports for each event project • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders such as audio/visual teams, maintain vendors relationships This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 84 hours/year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
