Development & Event Manager

The DEM identifies, coordinates, and executes all efforts of donor cultivation, relationship building and special event planning. This role is pivotal in the organization maintaining communication with our donors and building a pipeline of events for celebrations and fundraising efforts... Key Areas of Responsibility • Manage the production and distribution of donor acknowledgement letters, calls, and notes for gifts received, ensuring accuracy, quality and timeliness, through a variety of mediums • Maintain current knowledge of gift policies, adherence to donor bill of rights, as well as ensuring appropriate stewardship of gifts and accurate tracking on how gifts are used for all reporting • Responsible for accurately maintaining the fundraising database, current at all times for auditing and reporting • Create and development fundraising forms in alignment with fundraising initiatives • Assist leadership with Annual Fundraising Plan including donor cultivation, stewardship and solicitation • Accountable for planning, organizing, coordinating, promoting and facilitating existing special events, working with leadership on the calendar of events to ensure all objects are met • Participate in all special event committee meetings; taking the lead on creating agendas, taking minutes, monitor event timelines and providing activity reports to necessary parties • Serves as an ambassador in the community for our mission • Assist with all session activities including camps, events, and daily activities Additional Details • This position is a blend of base salary with a comprehensive benefits package • Ideal candidate will be available to work extended/flexible days & hours, understanding the nature of our organization is not 9-5 • Must be able to travel to our various camp locations during sessions, for fundraising purposes, and as needed to meet the needs of the organization • Position requires physical needs including, but not limited to walking, running, maneuvering over 100lbs, lifting 50lbs To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility satisfactorily.
