The Director of Events position at Hyatt is a highly visible and influential role within the hotel’s organizational structure, reporting directly to the General Manager and serving as a member of the property’s Executive Committee. This leadership role demands exceptional expertise in event management, planning, sales, and execution across various event functions, including banquet services and event setup teams. In this role, the Director of Events oversees the entire event department, including event sales, planning, and services, by coordinating with multiple teams to maximize event success and revenue generation. Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
Minimum 6 years progressive experience in hotel event sales and planning
At least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role within event management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Ability to work flexible schedules
Exceptional organizational skills
Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
