Director of Events

Saddle & Cycle Club in Chicago, Illinois, is seeking a Director of Events to join a family-oriented, member-owned club known for its active event program, strong traditions, and high engagement across golf, racquets, aquatics, and year-round family events. Founded in 1895 on the shores of Lake Michigan, the Club is one of Chicago's oldest private clubs, with more than 130 years of history and a culture built around member-sponsored private events and established service standards.

The Director of Events leads the planning and execution of private events, weddings, banquets, member functions, and Club-sponsored programming, overseeing the full event cycle from initial inquiry through execution and final billing. This role provides hands-on leadership to the events team while managing BEO accuracy, room setup and turnover standards, event budgets, vendor coordination, and member responsiveness. A key focus in the first year will be documenting and standardizing event workflows, developing an early-career team to execute independently, and supporting the Club's transition to new event management software.
