Job Summary The City of Stockton is seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee the management of events, venues, and parking services. This individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing city-wide events, as well as managing a team of staff members. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement event strategies to promote tourism and economic growth • Manage a team of staff members to ensure effective event execution • Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to promote events and activities • Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols at all events • Develop and manage budgets for events and venues Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as event management or hospitality • 5+ years of experience in event management or a related field • Proven track record of successful event planning and execution • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Able to work independently and as part of a team
