The Evening Event Manager position at Brown University plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of student events held during the evenings and weekends throughout the academic year. The Evening Event Manager collaborates closely with student managers and other University staff to oversee event logistics, manage potential conflicts, and promote an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that aligns with Brown’s values. This role offers a unique opportunity for students or individuals familiar with campus life to engage with student events in a meaningful way while gaining valuable event management experience in a dynamic and collaborative higher education setting. • Availability to work evening hours on Thursdays, Fridays and/or Saturdays during the academic year • Must be able to work the last weekend in April for Spring Weekend and the week prior to Memorial Day for Senior Week • Ability to collaborate with diverse groups including faculty, staff, and students • Must successfully pass criminal background check and education verification • Part-time availability ranging from 5 to 12 hours per week • Ability to work occasionally during special events • Willingness to work flexible hours as event schedules dictate
