Event Catering Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Event Catering Coordinator to manage the logistical details and client communication for their diverse catering events in Grand Rapids, Michigan. You will be the key liaison between clients, the culinary team, and the service staff, ensuring that every event is planned meticulously and executed flawlessly. This role is critical for delivering exceptional client experiences and maintaining the company's reputation for outstanding service and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process, answering inquiries and providing updates.Coordinate event details with clients, including menu selections, timelines, staffing needs, and special requests.Collaborate closely with the culinary and operations teams to ensure all event requirements are understood and met.Develop event orders and detailed BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) for internal teams.Manage event timelines and logistics to ensure smooth on-site execution, from setup to breakdown.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during events to ensure client satisfaction.Assist with maintaining event-related documentation and client records.Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in event coordination, catering, or hospitality.Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.Benefits
