We are currently seeking enthusiastic and creative Event Coordinators to join our Wellness & Recreation team on a per diem basis. This role is central to creating engaging and memorable experiences for our members, particularly at events such as birthday parties and themed recreational activities. The Event Coordinator acts as a dynamic and reliable representative of the JCC, responsible for coordinating and assisting in the planning, execution, and management of various events. The position involves overseeing the entire event logistics, ensuring smooth operation from setup to breakdown, and actively engaging with guests to foster a fun and safe environment.
This is a part-time, per diem role mainly scheduled for Saturdays or Sundays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., with each event lasting two hours. Coordinators are compensated for four hours per event to include preparation and cleanup time. The events may be held within our well-equipped facility or outdoors on our sports fields and can feature a variety of themes such as sports, arts and crafts, and aquatics-related activities. While coordinators are expected to be involved and present on the pool deck during aquatics events, certified JCC lifeguards are on duty to ensure water safety.
The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for working with children in diverse environments. Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to create an enjoyable atmosphere are key to succeeding in this role.
