Our Boston based nonprofit is looking for an Events Marketing Specialist to support event-based fundraising and execution for spring and summer events, with a primary focus on sponsorship outreach and renewals, committee-based fundraising coordination, registration oversight, and on-site event support. Key Responsibilities Sponsorship Fundraising Execution (Primary Focus) • Manage sponsorship outreach for assigned events, including: • Renewing past sponsors • Following up on warm leads • Conducting limited cold outreach as needed • Track sponsor pipelines, follow-ups, and commitments • Coordinate committee-based sponsorship asks: • Assign prospects • Track progress • Follow up with committee members • Communicate directly with sponsors regarding participation details once commitments are secured • Track sponsor benefits and recognition • Collect logos and recognition details • Coordinate sponsor recognition with marketing and events staff • Ensure sponsor benefits are delivered and documented post-event • Serve as internal point person for GiveSmart registration • Oversee external GiveSmart professionals building registration sites • Review registration setup for accuracy and completeness • Manage attendee and golfer registration once sites are live • Respond to registrant inquiries • Support on-site check-in using GiveSmart • Serve as day-to-day point of contact for event committees • Provide materials, reminders, and follow-up to committee members • Track committee fundraising activity and deliverables • Coordinate handoffs between development, marketing, and events • Coordinate timelines for sponsor-facing communications • Provide sponsor lists and recognition details to marketing • Review drafts for accuracy and sponsor recognition • Track approvals and deadlinesPrepare and send sponsorship invoices • Track payments and outstanding balances • Maintain accurate internal documentation • Support event reconciliation • Provide on-site support for an event in May • Support sponsor experience, registration, and staff needs on event day • Support early planning inputs for the Martha’s Vineyard House Party through April • Transition responsibilities to a newly hired staff member beginning in late April • Ensure clean documentation and handoff of sponsor and registration details Qualifications • Experience with event-based fundraising or corporate sponsorship • Comfort making fundraising asks and follow-up calls • Experience working with event committees • Strong organizational and tracking skills • Familiarity with GiveSmart or similar event registration platforms • Ability to manage multiple deadlines • Availability for select evenings and weekends for events
