Event Coordinator/ Partner Relations - Gem City Vibes Overview

We’re building Dayton’s leading marketing platform—and events are a huge part of that vision. From community gatherings and creative showcases to brand activations and cultural experiences, we’re looking for an Event Coordinator who can help plan, organize, and execute events that truly represent the energy of the city.

This role is perfect for someone who is organized, creative, and passionate about building community through real-life experiences.

What You’ll Do
• Plan and coordinate Gem City Vibes events from concept to execution
• Work with local businesses, artists, and organizations to create collaborative events
• Manage logistics including:
• Venues
• Vendors
• Schedules
• Permits (when needed)
• Coordinate event setup, breakdown, and on-site operations
• Help design event concepts that align with the Gem City Vibes brand
• Assist in promoting events through social media and community outreach
• Ensure a smooth, high-quality experience for attendees and partners
• Work closely with the content team to capture events for marketing

Compensation
• Commission based through sales in sponsorships and partners
• Opportunity for bonuses based on event success and partnerships
• Growth potential into a lead event director role

Skills & Experience
• Experience in event planning, coordination, or hospitality (preferred)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple moving parts and stay calm under pressure
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Creative mindset for designing engaging experiences
• Ability to work flexible hours (including evenings/weekends for events)

Bonus If You Have
• Connections with local venues, vendors, or artists in Dayton
• Experience with community events, festivals, or brand activations
• Social media or marketing experience
• Passion for building culture and bringing people together
