The Marketing and Special Events Coordinator is responsible for the creation, administration, and execution of a wide range of special events for patrons of all ages and abilities. The Marketing and Special Events Coordinator will support the Downtown Revitalization Manager in the efficient operation of communications, marketing, advertising for businesses and events, public improvements, and activities within Downtown Brownsville. Develops strategies and content plans, community management, influencer strategy, paid social media to promote Downtown Brownsville, events, in Downtown Brownsville, and work that the city is doing to benefit Downtown. Greater level of knowledge when applying guidelines and interpretation of available options to non-standard situations; division goals drive priorities. Office job with little or occasional light physical effort.
