**Overview:** The Event Planning Office within the Arizona Student Unions is seeking an Events Coordinator (Conference and Events Planner I) to manage alcohol permits, interface with the University's Risk Management Team, and oversee student group room bookings in the Student Union Memorial Center (SUMC). **Responsibilities:** • Manage alcohol permits, communication with event planners, UAPD, and risk management • Manage student group room bookings in the SUMC, serving as the central point of contact for UArizona student groups • Develop proposals for potential customers and coordinate pending bookings of events • Supervise student workers, hiring, training, scheduling, and directing their work assignments • Receive and process money for event planning, including invoicing, posting, and sending confirmations and invoices to customers • Distribute information to appropriate personnel • *Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience • 1 year of relevant work experience • Knowledge of scheduling and contract administration, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, public relations, and complaint handling • Ability to communicate effectively and lift/move 20lbs • *Benefits:** • Outstanding UA benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and disability programs • Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays • UA/ASU/NAU tuition reduction for the employee and qualified family members • Retirement plans • Access to UA recreation and cultural activities
