Event Coordinator - Financial Firm - Pensacola, FL

About the position Responsibilities • Collaborate with various departments to identify event opportunities and objectives that align with the company's goals and community's interests • Execute and plan events such as workshops, festivals, fundraisers, seminars, and social gatherings for the financial firm • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including securing venues, permits, vendors, equipment, and catering services • Develop and manage events budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and adherence to financial constraints • Create event timelines and oversee scheduling to ensure smooth execution and adherence to deadlines • Develop promotional strategies to maximize event attendance and community engagement • Utilize social media, email marketing, and other platforms to effectively market events and engage with the community • Foster relationships with local partners, sponsors, and vendors to enhance event experiences and support collaborative initiatives • Collect and analyze feedback from community members and participants to improve future event planning • Stay updated on industry trends, event management best practices, and community preferences to continually enhance event offerings • Other duties as assigned Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field - or equivalent experience • Proven experience in event planning and coordination, ideally within a community-focused context • Strong ability to execute and plan events • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and engage with community members • Creative problem-solving abilities and a flexible approach to adapt to changing circumstances • High degree of creativity and very strong work ethic • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively • Proven ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks on schedule • Experience with MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly Nice-to-haves • Industry knowledge/experience preferred Benefits • Healthcare • 8% 401(k) match vested after 90 days • 15 days PTO from start • 8 paid holidays per year
