Touch of Swag is a premier event and marketing agency based in Portland, OR, specializing in high-end swag and VIP experiences for corporate clients. Partnering with tech organizations, their goal is to deliver flawless, white-glove services at trade shows and private events. They are currently expanding their divisions to offer comprehensive, tailored event management solutions that feel like pure magic to their clients!
As Touch of Swag grows, they are building out a brand-new event management division and need a powerhouse to help shape it. This Client Event Coordinator role is being added to establish solid operational processes and take the lead on complex logistics specifically for our trade show operations, allowing the company to scale seamlessly.

You will get to flex your highly organized, strategic muscles, travel to exciting tradeshows a few times a year, and be the operational hero behind the curtain.
What You'll Do
● Serve as the primary contact for planning flawless corporate client tradeshow experiences from start to finish.
● Research and book vendors and premium swag for tradeshow booths while expertly managing overlapping timelines and budgets.
● Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and structured methodology for tradeshow operations, remaining flexible to adapt processes as needed.
● Utilize a strong sense of curiosity to ask clarifying questions, weeding through complex details to create actionable, strategic tradeshow plans.
● Travel on-site (roughly 5-6 times a year) to manage booth setup, teardown, and overall floor operations.
● Track trade show success metrics and present results to clients and stakeholders.
● Communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of personality types and communication styles in high-volume, high-energy environments.
What You Bring
● 2 to 5+ years of experience as an Event Coordinator, with mandatory experience managing tradeshows for high-net-worth corporate clients.
● Hyper-organized with stellar computer and project management skills to juggle multiple simultaneous tradeshows and build robust SOPs.
● A naturally curious problem-solver who can adapt quickly, negotiate with vendors, and confidently chase down critical details.
● Ability to commute to the Portland office 1-2 days a week (hybrid), lift at least 50 lbs for swag/booth setup, and comfortably endure prolonged standing on the tradeshow floor.
The Interview Process
Our process starts with a 30-45 minute interview with the team at Float HR. From there, standout candidates will have a 1-2 hour interview directly with the founder of Touch of Swag. We will also likely conduct reference checks as a final step before extending an offer.
Pay & Benefits
This is a 1099 Contract position starting at 20 hours per week, with compensation at $35/hr. When traveling for events, Touch of Swag fully pays for your travel and provides a meal per diem.
