Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist Event Director and Volunteer Services Manager with the operation and administration of the DGP’s 1,300+ member official volunteer organization, the Detroit Grand Prix Association (DGPA) • Assist with the development and implementation of the Event’s Parking and Wayfinding Signage programs in conjunction with the DGP’s Event Director • Fully plan and execute at least one Volunteer social event • Provide support to several Volunteer Committees • Assist with the creation and distribution of the DGPA’s newsletter • Participate in the development of parking and wayfinding plans and assist with signage installation and removal, prior to and following the Event weekend • Work in concert with the DGPA’s Social Media Coordinator, creating posts for the various volunteer social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok • Assist with the planning and presentation of various volunteer training programs • Coordinate distribution of parking passes • Produce several event invitations and other creative design projects • Facilitate new member recruitment initiatives in concert with the DGPA’s Recruitment Committee • Assist with Event operations and logistics, including set-up, teardown and clean up • Collaborate with other staff members in the creation and execution of DGP promotions, community events, and/or on-site race weekend activities. • Assist with a variety of tasks required in the operation of the Grand Prix office. • Prepare reports and post-event evaluations • Handle sensitive information in a confidential and discrete manner. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Knowledge of and the ability to model the principles of effective guest relations.
