Pensacola, FL. The Event Director is responsible for development, planning, communication and execution of public events as well as acting as a liaison between each private event client and Bodacious supporting staff members with the goal of generating revenue, promoting the SFoC mission of creating memorable experiences. Essential Functions Responsible for coordinating event details and managing logistics of public and private events, including planning menu, timeline, room layout and other event details and ensuring expectations are met through event execution Manage public event and cooking class calendars from inception through event execution, recognizing past successes and opportunities for improvement, working with marketing team to properly promote events to encourage ticket sales, coordinating event logistics, recruiting and scheduling supporting staff and overseeing event execution Recruit, train and manage event staff, establishing and hardwiring processes and procedures that support the company’s standards and mission Manage scheduling of events support staff including Chef(s) and Event Assistants Manage ordering of alcohol, linens and other event needs through established vendors Create and implement customer surveys and report on outcomes Provide continual evaluation of processes and procedures. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, efficiency and service Meet and welcome client’s/clients' point of contact prior to events, make introductions, and ensure all arrangements match expectations Effectively assist with event set up, food and beverage service, guest attention, event cleanup and breakdown and overall logistics through clear communication, leadership and teamwork Manage annual budget by controlling costs and maintaining expenses Perform all other duties as requested or directed Requirements Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times Excellent communication and organization skills Ability to build rapport and long-term relationships Knowledge of all company’s products and services Must have excellent time management and planning skills Ability to direct the work of others Knowledge of food and restaurant environments and event planning Well-organized and detail-oriented Proficiency in Microsoft Office Required to stand, walk, and lift items (up to 30 pounds) on a regular basis Ability to work independently and as part of a team Education & Experience A high school diploma or GED is required. 1-3 years of event planning experience is required.
