Event Manager

As a manager, this role will utilize leadership, communication, and organizational skills to execute events flawlessly. Essential duties include • Lead end-to-end execution of Buying Show efforts, multi-Vendor events, plan customer and team trips, corporate events, sporting events and more from planning to post-event analysis • Create project plans, timelines and budgets for events; monitor and control spend • Travel to potential venues, overseeing event set-up and operations • Manage, and provide direction to event staff and volunteers • Maintain all event related contracts and negotiate pricing; maintain productive vendor/supplier relationships • Ensure messaging, branding, and communications align to company standards in cooperation with the APR Marcom team • Foster collaborative relationships across the organization to drive event success • Serve as backup for Training Coordinator when needed for oversight of training initiatives • Demonstrate leadership qualities including decision making, problem solving, and motivation • Demonstrate professional, courteous demeanor, positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in a constructive manner with others in a dynamic working environment. Required for Success: • 5+ years special event/tradeshow experience • Superb communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities • Exceptional attention to detail and logistical execution • Skilled at managing multiple stakeholders to meet deadlines • Experience overseeing direct reports Our benefits package includes health insurance, vacation and sick days, 401K plan, and much more.
