The company is currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Event Manager to join their dynamic team. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $28 to $36 per hour, depending on experience. The Event Manager position is pivotal in planning and executing high-end catered events that align perfectly with clients' visions and expectations. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing all logistical details from booking through post-event follow-up. This role involves significant client interaction, coordination with internal teams including culinary, warehouse, service, and administrative staff, as well as collaboration with external vendors.

Based in Ventura, the position requires regular travel to event locations within Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, along with occasional out-of-area travel. The Event Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless event execution through tasks such as leading venue walk-throughs, organizing tastings, and coordinating vendor services. The job demands a high level of organizational skill to create and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), packing lists, and event timelines efficiently. Additionally, overseeing onsite event operations alongside an Event Captain to maintain professionalism and guest satisfaction is a key responsibility.

Minimum 4 years of experience in event management, catering, or a related field
at least 2 years in a leadership or client-facing role
bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred
valid Driver’s License and proof of liability insurance
Food Handler’s Card required
industry certifications and training preferred
must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and work long hours on your feet during events
strong written and verbal communication skills
