ob description - Experienced Event Marketing Manager in the home improvement industry with planning skills, setting and reaching all department goals - Organized, detailed and driven to success. - Plan 150 events a year, train & manage event staff to run the home & garden shows and events, and set successful appointments. Duties: - Plan and execute a wide range of events, including street fairs and home shows - Coordinate with clients to understand their event objectives and requirements - Select and book convention center, venues, hotels, for events - Manage event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and coordination of vendors - Develop event budgets and track expenses to ensure financial targets are met - Oversee event marketing and promotion to attract attendees - Provide exceptional guest services and ensure a positive experience for all attendees - Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless event execution - Conduct post-event evaluations to analyze success and identify areas for improvement Requirements: - Proven experience in event planning and management - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members - Proficient in budgeting and financial management for events - Knowledge of fundraising strategies and techniques is a plus - Familiarity with hotel and restaurant industry standards for event planning - Ability to market events effectively to target audiences - Upselling skills to maximize revenue opportunities during events
