Event Operations Director

Our client, a renowned leader in the hospitality and tourism sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Event Operations Director for their flagship property located in Provo, Utah, US . This is a critical on-site role responsible for the seamless execution of all events hosted by the organization, ranging from large-scale conferences and weddings to intimate corporate gatherings. You will lead a dedicated team of event coordinators, catering staff, and technical support personnel to ensure every event meets the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

The Event Operations Director will manage all logistical aspects of event planning and execution, including venue setup, audiovisual requirements, catering coordination, staffing schedules, and budget management. Responsibilities include developing and implementing operational procedures, maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multitask and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in event management, hospitality operations, or a related field is required. Proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team are essential.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills are also necessary. You should be proficient in event management software and possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
