This person must have excellent leadership skills and an acute attention to detail.ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of event planning from concept to completion of events to include, but not limited to related hotel contracts, vendor contracts, speaker management, travel management, rooming lists, event orders, catering, on-site staffing, meeting room set-up, budget management, event evaluation and event reconciliation.Work with internal cross functional teams to help develop, implement, and maintain trainings consistent with Dentsply Sirona policies.Work with event stakeholders to understand and execute the requirements for each event and track event status and manage tasks.Understand the stakeholder’s needs, goals, and event vision to help guide, suggest and develop a comprehensive event planning timeline.Create, manage, and distribute event planning documents, as necessary.Function as onsite contact for all assigned events from set up to tear-down and troubleshoot issues that may arise.Adhere to Academy processes and protocols to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.Maintain a professional-level meetings commitment, including a flexible schedule that may include some evenings, weekends and holidays hours as needed for event preparation and execution.Utilize meeting and event planning software including Cvent and Skedda.Adhere to Dentsply Sirona Global Event Policy.Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.EducationBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityYears & Type of Experience4+ years of event management experienceKey Required Skills & CapabilitiesKnowledge and experience in the dental industry would be a plus, but not required.Ability to multitask and problem solve.Customer-focused mindset prioritizing customer satisfaction and building relationships. Excellent project management skills.Excels at follow up and follow through.Highly organized.Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Internet and Email applications; Cvent experience a plus.Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.Extreme attention to detail and careful follow-through.Ability to work independently, proactively, under pressure and collaboratively with team members at all levels of the organization.Ability to negotiate.This is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
