Event Planner Job Type: Full-Time Location: 1037 Forest Ave. Portland, Maine Schedule: Flexible; evenings and weekends as required The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong administrative and organizational control. Responsibilities • Meet with clients to understand event goals, themes, scope, and budget • Develop, manage, and track event budgets and expenses • Research, negotiate, and book venues, vendors, caterers, entertainment, AV, and other suppliers • Coordinate logistics including transportation, accommodations, equipment, staffing, and guest registration • Create detailed timelines and event plans; oversee setup, execution, and teardown • Manage on-site event operations, staff, and vendors to ensure smooth execution • Troubleshoot issues in real time and provide solutions under pressure • Oversee daily administrative and office operations related to event planning • Manage supplies, procedures, internal communication, and staff coordination • Provide general HR and administrative support as needed Types of Events Managed • Weddings, galas, and fundraisers • Conferences and corporate meetings • Product launches, corporate retreats, and private events
