What we are looking for: Are you passionate about anime and have experience in event planning? Experience: 2+ year’s event planning experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired: • Minimum 2 years event planning experience • Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must • Professional certification such as CaPM is desirable but not required • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service mindset • Understanding of financials, budget, forecast, variance, and related reports • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online software programs • No commitments to other conventions • Must be able to perform required tasks and manage staff at conventions away from SPJA office • Respect for anime, Japanese culture and its lifestyle, and familiarity with fandom communities is a plus • During the convention, this individual must have the ability to stand/walk for up to four hours at a time as there is constant walking required during the convention. • Do you have any other experience, training, qualifications, or skills that you feel make you especially suited for work at The Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation?
