The Trade Show & Event Planning Specialist role at Wolters Kluwer is a vital support position within the company’s event management team. This role works under moderate guidance to support senior Event and Attendee Managers by assisting primarily with the planning and execution of both internal company-hosted events and external client-facing events. Additionally, the specialist provides support for trade shows as needed, contributing to the seamless delivery of events that reflect Wolters Kluwer’s high standards. The position involves managing the administrative and logistical facets of events, from vendor onboarding and contract processing to payment tracking and on-site event logistics including registration support. The specialist will collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate venues, amenities, off-site functions, and team-building activities, ensuring smooth event execution.

Regular travel, approximately 50 percent of the time, is a key part of this role to support on-site event delivery. The Trade Show & Event Planning Specialist can also act as the lead planner for smaller Tier 3 events, balancing independent project management responsibilities with collaborative support for larger initiatives driven by senior managers. The job requires a high level of attention to detail, multi-tasking, organizational skills, and flexibility to adapt to changing event priorities and conditions. The role plays a critical part in maintaining operational accuracy, budget awareness, and a consistent, positive attendee experience across the company's event portfolio.

With a compensation range between $57,400 to $98,350 USD annually, and eligibility for bonus opportunities, the position offers a competitive salary reflective of the candidate's experience and location. Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning, event operations, or event coordination roles
proficiency with event management and registration tools, particularly Cvent
understanding of contracts, payments, vendor coordination, and on-site logistics for events

experience working with vendors and internal teams to support contracting and payment processes
strong attention to detail for managing registration data and financial documentation
