Job Summary: The Event Sales Coordinator is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities that support the Oklahoma City Zoo’s strategic goals. An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the job will be considered. An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties: • Build and maintain a prospective client pipeline aligned with the Zoo’s strategic goals. • Assist director with development of documented sales strategy • Prospect and promote OKC Zoo offerings (group admission and private events) to increase revenue and attendance • Build connections in the community (e.g., CVB, local chambers) to create new business opportunities. • Generate new business through cold calling, off-site appointments, networking, and strategic marketing • Develop new relationships and strengthen relationships with previous clients to encourage repeat business and growth • Meet pre-determined sales goals and accurately document sales calls, appointments, and transactions using CRM software • Collaborate with marketing team on collateral needs and targeted campaigns • Collaborate with event execution team on handoff, industry trends, opportunities to enhance offerings, client requests, etc.
