POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing Event Specialist is responsible for planning and executing technical, customer-facing marketing experiences that support demand generation and sales enablement across the Americas. This role goes beyond logistics—it transforms cutting tool expertise, machining applications, and customer use cases into engaging live experiences at tradeshows, distributor events, and CERATIZIT’s Charlotte Technical Center. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technical B2B environments and understands how to connect events with pipeline, content, and commercial outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Trade shows & Industry Events
Own end-of-end execution of industrial trade shows (IMTS, regional shows, distributor events)Partner with product, engineering, and sales teams to define:Demo strategyApplication storiesBooth messaging aligned to go-to-market prioritiesAdapt global booth concepts to U.S. machining and customer expectationsEnsure strong integration with digital campaigns, lead capture, and follow-upTechnical Center Events (Charlotte)
Develop and execute events for customer demos, internal and external training events, and application workshopsWork directly with engineers and application specialists to build hands-on experiencesDesign programs for:End usersDistributor partnersNew product launchesTurn technical content into structured, repeatable event formatsDistributor & Partner Engagement
Build scalable event toolkits for distributor-led activities:AgendasDemo ideasSales enablement materialsSupport joint events that bring distributors and end customers togetherEnsure consistency in brand, message, and commercial focusPerformance & ROI
Track and report on:Leads generatedCost per leadPipeline contributionEnsure proper use of CRM (MS Dynamics preferred) for lead capture and follow-upContinuously improving event performance based on data
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related discipline required.4-8 years’ experience in a marketing communication, events planning, or similar role. Excellent communication skills (written and oral)Enthusiastic and collaborative attitudeAbility to prioritize and work independently.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Between 25% to 50% travel/overnight stays required – a valid drivers license is required. International trips maybe required.
