If you're a master of ceremonies and a conductor of experiences, we want you to step into the spotlight as our Events Specialist at the Florida Association of Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC)!
The Heartbeat of the Role:
As our Events and Exhibit Specialist, you'll be the driving force behind the success of over 40 annual in-person and online events. Working hand-in-hand with our passionate team, you'll be the maestro who ensures that every event hits the right notes of engagement and productivity.
What Awaits You:
Compensation: A competitive salary of $50,000 ($24.04/hr).
Location: Join us in Tallahassee, Florida.
Relocation Assistance: Sorry, we can move mountains, but we can't move you. Relocation assistance and sponsorship are not available.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Extraordinaire: Plan, execute, and coordinate 10 small-scale events, from Board Meetings to Regional Trainings.
Budget Savvy: Negotiate contracts, manage logistics, and keep a watchful eye on event budgets.
Tech Wizard: Build the electronic registration system for three annual conferences and manage onsite registration desks.
Detail-Oriented: Create Event Specifications Guides and oversee event materials, ensuring everything is picture-perfect.
AV Virtuoso: Collaborate with the IT crew for flawless audio-visual setups, ensuring our events are as visually stunning as they are informative.
Master of the Mix: Take charge of credit card payments, create reports for committees, and assist with speaker research and agreements.
What You Bring to the Stage:
Event Mastery: You're an event planning and project management wizard.
People Person: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Diplomatic Virtuosity: Ability to navigate politically sensitive situations with finesse.
Problem-Solving Prodigy: Analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and problem-solving prowess.
Multitasking Marvel: A knack for multitasking, with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Tech Enthusiast: Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Internet usage.
Your Backstage Pass (Education & Experience):
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but if you have the skills, work experience can take center stage.
Minimum of 3 years in event planning, education, or related fields.
Prior experience executing conferences and events is a must.
Familiarity with Association Management Systems (AMS) is music to our ears.
