Events Assistant Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and flexible skills, with a background in hospitality, catering, or event management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile events, manage client relationships, and support the overall success of our in-store events. Responsibilities: • Execute Lancaster Cupcake events including Cupcake decorating workshops, Kids’ story time, in-store events, and Community events • Maintain a strong hands-on presence during events, working weekends and evenings as needed to ensure smooth execution and exceptional guest experiences • Lead day-of logistics including setup, breakdown, timelines, and coordination with internal teams • Support and help execute event marketing efforts to promote upcoming workshops and events and drive attendance • Engage directly with guests and families during events, providing warm, high-energy customer service and creating memorable experiences • Upsell event add-ons, merchandise, or future bookings during workshops and in-store events • Ensure all event activities meet safety standards, brand guidelines, and client or guest expectations • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact, proactively addressing questions, resolving issues in real time, and adapting quickly as needs arise Qualifications: • Proven experience in event marketing, planning, or management; banquet, catering, restaurant experience is highly desirable • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and time management abilities • Experience in upselling additional services or packages during event sales processes • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment • Prior experience in hospitality or guest services is preferred but not required • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a high level of professionalism
