Events Associate

In the 2020–21 season, the San Francisco Symphony welcomed conductor and composer EsaPekka Salonen as its twelfth Music Director and embarked on a new vision for the present and future of the orchestral landscape. The San Francisco Symphony presents more than 220 concerts and presentations annually for an audience of nearly 450,000 in its home of Davies Symphony Hall and through its national and international touring. The Engagement Events Associate (EEA) serves as a strategic support partner for the implementation, management, and execution of Events for the Development Department. The EEA will support the ADEE in organizing, producing, and managing best-in-class engagement opportunities, primarily for Symphony donors, members, and prospects, in response to each season’s repertoire and in alignment with the Symphony’s strategic plan leading to increased engagement and philanthropic support. • 3-5 years of experience in event management, preferably in a fundraising organization and/or in the cultural sector • Proven ability to manage various event components ranging from season planning to taking RSVPs • Strong organizational skills, with ability to work independently and manage highly detailed tasks.
