Our Boston based nonprofit is looking for an Events Marketing Specialist to support event-based fundraising and execution for spring and summer events, with a primary focus on sponsorship outreach and renewals, committee-based fundraising coordination, registration oversight, and on-site event support. Key ResponsibilitiesSponsorship Fundraising Execution (Primary Focus) Manage sponsorship outreach for assigned events, including:Renewing past sponsorsFollowing up on warm leadsConducting limited cold outreach as neededTrack sponsor pipelines, follow-ups, and commitmentsCoordinate committee-based sponsorship asks:Assign prospectsTrack progressFollow up with committee membersCommunicate directly with sponsors regarding participation details once commitments are securedTrack sponsor benefits and recognitionCollect logos and recognition detailsCoordinate sponsor recognition with marketing and events staffEnsure sponsor benefits are delivered and documented post-eventServe as internal point person for GiveSmart registrationOversee external GiveSmart professionals building registration sitesReview registration setup for accuracy and completenessManage attendee and golfer registration once sites are liveRespond to registrant inquiriesSupport on-site check-in using GiveSmartServe as day-to-day point of contact for event committeesProvide materials, reminders, and follow-up to committee membersTrack committee fundraising activity and deliverablesCoordinate handoffs between development, marketing, and eventsCoordinate timelines for sponsor-facing communicationsProvide sponsor lists and recognition details to marketingReview drafts for accuracy and sponsor recognitionTrack approvals and deadlinesPrepare and send sponsorship invoices Track payments and outstanding balancesMaintain accurate internal documentationSupport event reconciliationProvide on-site support for an event in MaySupport sponsor experience, registration, and staff needs on event daySupport early planning inputs for the Martha's Vineyard House Party through AprilTransition responsibilities to a newly hired staff member beginning in late AprilEnsure clean documentation and handoff of sponsor and registration detailsQualificationsExperience with event-based fundraising or corporate sponsorshipComfort making fundraising asks and follow-up callsExperience working with event committeesStrong organizational and tracking skillsFamiliarity with GiveSmart or similar event registration platformsAbility to manage multiple deadlinesAvailability for select evenings and weekends for events
