Duties

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to plan engaging events that align with organizational goals and community needsCoordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering arrangements, and equipment setupManage event marketing efforts through social media, email campaigns, and outreach to maximize attendance and visibilityNegotiate contracts with vendors, venues, caterers, and other service providers to secure the best terms and servicesOversee event budgeting, tracking expenses to ensure cost-effective planning without compromising qualityProvide exceptional guest services during events by addressing attendee inquiries and ensuring a welcoming atmosphereAssist with upselling opportunities such as sponsorships or premium packages to enhance event revenue and engagementEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations, including coordinating catering and banquet services when applicableMaintain detailed records of event plans, contracts, budgets, and post-event evaluations for continuous improvementExperience

Previous experience in event planning or coordination within hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or fundraising environments is highly desirableStrong negotiation skills with vendors and partners to secure favorable agreementsProven ability in marketing and promoting events through various channels to boost participationExcellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to liaise effectively with team members, vendors, and attendeesExceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneouslyExperience in banquet service or catering operations is a plusFamiliarity with event management software or tools is advantageousJoin us as an Events Coordinator (Volunteer) to bring your passion for hospitality and community engagement to life!
