As our new Events & Experiences Coordinator, we know you will be successful in this role because you: Minimum three (3) years of experience in event planning; experience with outdoor festivals and events is a plus.Ability to work a flexible schedule on-site at Woodland Park Zoo, which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (communications, marketing, nonprofit management, hospitality, etc.) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Teams required.Proficiency with event management software and tools.Ability to understand, explain, and enforce policies to on‐site staff, other zoo departments, and the general public in a clear and confident manner.Ability to work well under pressure, and to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced and changing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; lift/move heavy objects such as during event setup and teardown, lifting up to 50 lbs.Must be comfortable often working in an outdoor, public environment where conditions the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud with fluctuating temperatures.
