About the position Responsibilities • Participate in projects and identify opportunities for enhancements within event management • Coordinate and execute the logistical aspects of small one- or two-day meetings, conferences or events • Partner with more experienced planners to coordinate requests for vendor bids and negotiate site and service contracts • Provide recommendations to clients on format, presenters, activities, and entertainment • Monitor program and event budgets • Maintain ongoing vendor relationships to encourage cost-effectiveness and quality service • Evaluate basic or tactical processes related to tasks in event management • Collaborate and consult with team, management, and external vendors to solve issues and achieve objectives Requirements • 6+ months of Events Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education Nice-to-haves • Experience working multi-day events within the financial services or hospitality sector • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Experience collaborating with senior leaders, partners, and peers • Experience building strong relationships and collaborating across multiple functional areas
