Events Manager

Location: New York, New YorkJob Type: PermanentCompensation Range: $80,000 - 100,000 per yearWe are looking for an Events Manager to join our client's growing organization! The Manager is responsible for leading and managing the entire event planning lifecycle.The Manager will work closely with clients, venues, vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality events.Responsibilities:Strategic Procurement: Conduct rapid research to source unique venues (hotels, galleries, rooftops) and specialized vendors (catering, A/V, décor).Negotiation & Finance: Lead contract negotiations for favorable terms and manage the full event budget, from deposits to final reconciliation.Planning & Logistics: Independently manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), menu planning, room layouts, and shipping logistics.On-Site Leadership: Oversee on-site setup, registration, and staffing while troubleshooting challenges with composure.Client Management: Actively participate in client calls, providing strategic recommendations and regular updates to ensure their vision is realized.Qualifications:Experience: 4-6 years of direct experience in high-end event production.Education: Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field.Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of restaurant groups, hotel brands, and contract negotiation.Mindset: A proactive "work athlete" with a "get things done" attitude and exceptional attention to detail.Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.Ability to travel as needed.JOBID: 022026-126060#PLEqual Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Cella, a randstad digital company, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
