Position: 2026 Events Marketing Internship (Kill Devil Hills, NC) 2026 Events Marketing Internship (Kill Devil Hills)As a leading employer on the Outer Banks for over 50 years, Kitty Hawk Kites is hiring a Events Marketing Intern for 2026!Internships last a minimum of 12 weeksJob Summary The Marketing Intern will be involved in many aspects of our diverse marketing program as well as other departments in the company.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for planning and running Kids' days each week for their area with the guidance and supervision of the Events CoordinatorPresent unique ideas to promote events and draw visitors to participateAssist weekly distribution of KHK marketing materialsImprove, maintain, and develop relationships with other businessesOther projects as assignedEducation, & ExperienceCurrent enrollment in a college program focusing in Marketing, Events Planning, or other related field0 - 2 years related Marketing experienceCustomer service experience, communications, social media, or office experience preferredSkillsGood organization skills.Detail oriented.Comfortable with multitasking.Strong and current social media skills and the ability to manage an account such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.Quality Customer Service skills and an attitude commiserate with the role of making an excellent first impressionMust be willing and able to build strong relationships with customers.Must be a team playerAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one situations with customers and clientsWorking ConditionsThe work environment for this position will vary between indoors and outdoors depending on locationNoise level in this job is moderate to noisy; expect business office machinery, people talking, background music playingMay be requested to work overtime and weekends during the company's in-season time period.May be requested to drive company vehicle to other locationsMay be requested to work holidays as needed.Physical Requirements About 1/3 of one's time will be spent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. One-third to two-thirds of one's time will be spent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. About 2/3 of one's time will be spent using one's hands to finger, handle or feel, as well as talking or hearing. Expect to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis. Vision required: close, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
