The Social Recreational Community Activities Coordinator role at Wings Support and Recovery is pivotal in driving the organization's mission forward by developing, planning, and executing social and recreational community activities. This role requires a candidate who is highly organized, skilled in event planning and execution, and capable of engaging a diverse population including consumers, stakeholders, and community members. The coordinator will be responsible for researching appropriate community activities that resonate with the mission and values of Wings, promoting these events effectively, and maintaining meticulous attendance and outcome records to measure the impact of each program. Collaboration with stakeholders to integrate community events is also a key component of this role, ensuring that programs are inclusive and beneficial to all parties involved.

A critical aspect of this position is the responsibility to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all state and federal mandates regarding client protected health information. The role also encompasses outreach activities to cultivate relationships with potential donors, as well as managing the reception, tracking, and distribution of donations in coordination with the Executive Director. The Work Experience Requirements emphasize excellent communication and organizational skills, teamwork and delegation capabilities, professionalism, time management, and familiarity with office technologies and software such as Microsoft Office. Experience in event planning for social events is essential, while an understanding of mental health and substance use disorders is considered extremely helpful.
