This position is responsible for coordinating and managing and staffing all logistical and event planning components for key departments and individual schools/colleges as assigned on and off campus in order to promote and foster a continuing interest in the university. This position also assists in hiring, training, and overseeing a pool of student workers that will offer event support prior to and during events. • Staffs and attends special events and programs of key university departments and individual schools/colleges as assigned on and off campus • Negotiates contracts and works closely with external vendors to obtain event services • Assists in hiring, training, and providing oversight of the student work pool that offers event support prior to, during, and after all event requests • Submits work orders and requests to internal service departments for event requests • Coordinates logistical components for student, internal and external events on campus • Plans, organizes and coordinates all logistical and event planning components for special events and programs of key university departments and individual schools/ colleges as assigned on and off campus • Performs other duties as assigned
