The Town of Butner is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Festival Planner to oversee the full lifecycle of this popular one-day annual festival. Additionally, this position cannot exceed 1000 work hours per year, aligning with the part-time employment parameters. The Festival Planner will report to the town's Event Coordinator/Public Information Officer (PIO) and will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, management, and evaluation of the festival. The role emphasizes strong community engagement, aiming to build and enhance relationships with local businesses and organizations to garner support and enrich the festival experience for attendees. • Four years of experience in event planning • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work long hours including evenings, early mornings, and weekends • Ability to move materials weighing 25-30 pounds • Capability to work in all weather conditions during events • Availability to work a variable schedule not exceeding 1000 hours per year • No eligibility for benefits • Must work under the direction of the town Event Coordinator/PIO
