About Gramercy Tech

Gramercy Tech is a digital agency specializing in technology-driven live and experiential events. Our work includes custom digital experiences, event technology, credentialing, access control, and onsite event execution.

The Role

We are building our network of experienced freelance event technology professionals to support live and experiential events in major markets.

This is a hands-on onsite role, not an event planning or vendor-management position.

We're looking for people who have personally worked with technology in live event environments and are comfortable setting up equipment, testing systems, troubleshooting issues in real time, and interacting professionally with clients and attendees.

Depending on the event, responsibilities may include:

Set up, configure, test, operate, and troubleshoot event technology, including iPads, laptops, Mac minis, printers, kiosks, displays, scanners, and related equipment
Assemble and break down technology stations, kiosks, stands, and other event equipment
Support onsite registration, credentialing, badging, and badge printing, including setting up and operating printers, troubleshooting print issues, and assisting with attendee-facing technology
Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, Wi-Fi/network, peripheral, and basic software issues onsite
Provide live technical support during events and escalate issues appropriately
Communicate directly and professionally with clients, attendees, venue teams, vendors, and Gramercy project leads
Receive, inventory, organize, pack, and coordinate event equipment
Work independently onsite while representing Gramercy Tech professionally

Previous hands-on technology experience in live events, experiential activations, conferences, trade shows, or similar onsite environments
Experience personally setting up, operating, supporting, or troubleshooting event technology
Comfortable troubleshooting hardware and basic connectivity issues independently
Professional and confident interacting directly with clients and event attendees
Able to remain calm and resourceful when technical issues arise during a live event
Dependable, organized, responsive, and comfortable working independently
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform extended standing and walking
Available for project-based/freelance onsite work

Experience with onsite registration, credentialing, badging or badge printing
Experience setting up and troubleshooting badge printers and related registration hardware
Cvent or other event registration platform experience
Experience with interactive or experiential technology
Basic networking/Wi-Fi knowledge
Experience with printers, kiosks, scanners, tablets, displays, or similar event hardware

Pay: $300.00 - $500.00 per day
