The Inn at Taughannock Falls, outside of Ithaca, NY, has just built a multi- million dollar event center which debuts this year. This venue is the only one of its kind in the region, featuring a 100’ x 60’ sailcloth tent, customizable lighting package, multiple fire features including a two-story dry stack, stone fireplace, and an outdoor plating kitchen. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Event Planner to help with the calendar of events generated by this new event center. The four different venues on this estate cater to a variety of events throughout the calendar year including weddings, corporate retreats, holiday parties, and community events. Responsibilities: · Event planning, design and production while managing all project elements within time limits · Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction · Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality · Organize facilities and manage all event’s details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc.
