Compile and manage a resource file with service providers and volunteersAttempt to obtain donated goods and services for Gift of a DayPositively and respectfully communicate “Gift of a Day” events to all staff and encourage attendance and participationMust possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and their families, as well as all interdisciplinary caregivers, peers, subordinates, and supervisorsMust exhibit or demonstrate the ability to learn computer skills related to required clinical software and electronic clinical record utilizationMust have reliable vehicle/transportation, valid driver’s license, required automobile insurance, and the ability to safely and independently operate said vehicleMust be highly dependable, organized, and autonomous in work styleAct independently and responsibly to perform duties on a consistent basisDemonstrate financial responsibility in roleDemonstrate a professional approach with staff, physicians, significant others, patients, staff personnel, and othersUpdate patient-specific Hospice IDG Care Plan with relevant Gift of a Day informationAssist with Volunteer Program as assigned (planning, implementation, retention, recruitment, and development)Record volunteer hour's cost-savings in accordance with Medicare guidelines including: Assist in sending, receiving, reviewing and documenting findings from the volunteer satisfaction survey(s) sent to and received from active volunteersAssist in marketing efforts including social networking efforts, press releases, newsletters, photography, and production of photo albums for patient and/or family of Gift of a Day EventsParticipate in utilization review activities and the QAPI Program activitiesAssist with EMC as needed
