The Marketing and Events Coordinator will assist in the coordination of the company’s social media efforts, internal and external communications, event planning and promotional item sourcing. (i.e. posting, sharing, engaging, increasing social reach) for both Granville Homes and Granville Realty;Assist with analyzing and developing social media marketing strategies;Stay up to date on the latest social media trends and incorporate new tools into the overall social media strategy;Create engaging content that builds our audience and grows the companies reach online;Work with team leads to brainstorm unique marketing ideas and diverse messagesEventsAssist with the master planning of all company events including scheduling vendors, catering, rental equipment, AV equipment, signage, venues, decorations, guest lists, and giveaways;Events include: Open Houses, Community Meetings, Homeowner Events, Grand Opening Events, Granville Home of Hope, Company Holiday Party, Groundbreakings, Ribbon Cuttings, etc.Confirm all dignitaries and guest speakers prior to event;Draft press releases to send out to media channels;Spearhead event set-up/clean-up as needed;Serve as photographer and videographer as needed;Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of annual Granville Home of Hope fundraiser;Project ManagementOrganize meetings, events and coordinate ticket drop-off and pick-up with GV Home of Hope nonprofits; assist with entering sold tickets into the GV Home of Hope database;Coordinate sponsorship meetings – review requests, conduct communication with requesting organizations, determine logistics of production/logo delivery, complete check requests and final documentation, etc. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required as department needs demand.Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work:This is a full time at will position, and work hours are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required as department needs demand.TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.Work Authorization:Must be eligible to work in the United StatesMinimum Requirements:College degree in marketing, public relations, business administration, mass communications and journalism, or similar; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 1-2 years marketing and events experience, preferably in the real estate industryPrevious experience utilizing social media in a business environmentExperience with copywriting and bloggingExperience with Microsoft Office programsProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop and illustrator) preferredProficiency in Canva (Graphic Design)Experience with Google Ad Words and Google AnalyticsCreative and analytical thinkerExcellent active listening and speaking skillsExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environmentVery detail oriented with a proven ability to multitaskAbility to adapt at any given timeAbility to think creatively and develop new and innovative solutionsA valid California driver’s license and auto insuranceThis job description documents the general nature and level of work but is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all activities, duties and responsibilities.
