Head of Events

At Anyscale, we're on a mission to democratize distributed computing and make it accessible to software developers of all skill levels. We're commercializing Ray, a popular open-source project that's creating an ecosystem of libraries for scalable machine learning. We're seeking a Head of Events to build and scale Anyscale's developer event program - from meetups to flagship conferences and everything in between. This is a player-coach role: you'll lead by doing - rolling up your sleeves to plan and execute events - while also building and managing a small team of community and field marketers. Strategy & Program Leadership • Develop and own a global event program that aligns to every stage of the funnel - from awareness and community activation to education and sales acceleration • Define the right event mix: flagship conferences, community meetups, industry sponsorships, virtual webinars, and regional field events • Partner closely with DevRel, PMM, sales, and product to ensure event strategy reinforces company priorities and launches Execution & Operations • Manage end-to-end event execution - from concept and content to logistics, promotion, and measurement • Oversee event budgets, vendor relationships, contracts, and performance reporting • Ensure every event delivers measurable impact on brand awareness, community engagement, and pipeline creation Community & Developer Engagement • Build programs that strengthen the Ray and Anyscale communities - fostering connection among open source contributors, practitioners, and enterprise adopters • Partner with Developer Relations to host technical workshops, hackathons, and community-driven experiences that educate and inspire • Identify and empower local champions and ambassadors to extend Anyscale's presence organically
