This contract position allows you to tailor your schedule and offers training, making it the perfect opportunity for aspiring wedding planners. Compensation is set at $400 for each project, covering 10-12 hours of work. We are looking for individuals to be part of our team for the 2026 season and beyond.
As a Lead Wedding Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional planning services for couples, primarily on-site. You will collaborate closely with our client experience managers during the planning phases and coordinate with assistant planners on the wedding day to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Conduct a final details call with clients 4-6 weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics, timelines, and expectations.Lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal the day prior to the wedding, ensuring all participants are confident in timing, processional flow, and key cues.Act as the primary advocate for the couple on-site, maintaining a calm and solutions-focused presence to support them through any challenges.Oversee the ceremony and reception setup to align with the event design and ensure adherence to our day-of execution plan.Manage wedding day execution from the arrival of vendors to the final breakdown of the event.Welcome and direct vendors, serving as the main point of contact throughout the day.Clearly communicate setup instructions to vendors to ensure alignment with the event plan.Assist in the placement of personal and event details, including escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest books, and décor elements.Support the wedding party and family members with guidance, timing cues, and other day-of needs.Ensure that all end-of-event items (gifts, guest books, personal décor, etc.) are packed and accounted for properly.Proactively manage and resolve any issues or last-minute changes to ensure a seamless guest experience.Requirements:
Weekend availability is essential.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a wedding or event planner.Strong communication skills and attention to detail are a must.Reliable transportation is required.Ability to carry and lift up to 30 lbs.
