Description: The Lead Wedding Planner is a client-facing leadership role responsible for overseeing weddings from planning through execution, ensuring timelines, vendor coordination, and guest experience are carried out with excellence. This is a part-time, seasonal, on-site role with the potential for growth, requiring availability for weekday meetings and most weekends during wedding season, as well as travel to event locations. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned couples, providing clear, timely communication and a confident planning experience.Facilitate and lead planning meetings with couples, guiding conversations, setting next steps, and ensuring progress throughout the planning process.Create, manage, and execute detailed wedding timelines and logistics plans to ensure seamless event flow.Manage assigned weddings within Driftwood’s CRM system, completing updates, tasks, and documentation independently and on time.Hold personal accountability for completing planning tasks outside of meetings, proactively managing workload and deadlines without direct oversight.Lead wedding day execution by directing vendors, assistants, and event flow with professionalism and authority.Coordinate with venues and vendor partners to confirm details, troubleshoot issues, and maintain strong working relationships.Anticipate and resolve challenges calmly and efficiently to protect the client experience.Manage and mentor Wedding Planning Assistants on event days, providing clear direction and support.Uphold Driftwood Event Planning’s standards for organization, punctuality, and excellence at every event.Represent the Driftwood brand with professionalism, warmth, and leadership in all client and vendor interactions.Necessary Qualifications & SkillsRequired Minimum of 2+ years of experience in wedding planning, event coordination, hospitality, or a closely related field.Proven ability to lead events independently, manage timelines, and coordinate multiple vendors simultaneously.Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-facing, professional presence.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to stay calm and decisive in high-pressure situations.Availability to work most weekends during wedding season and attend weekday planning meetings as needed.Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and work in fast-paced, on-site event environments.Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to event locations as required.Preferred
